Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Engineer Trainee to join our team and work on industrial software applications, system integration, automation, and application support. The role involves developing and maintaining software components, working with databases and APIs, supporting industrial communication systems, and assisting in the integration of applications with systems such as SCADA, OPC, and MES.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications based on project requirements.
- Develop basic automation scripts and utilities to reduce repetitive manual activities.
- Work with databases, APIs, and data-processing workflows as part of application development.
- Assist in integrating software applications with industrial systems and communication interfaces.
- Support integration between systems such as SCADA, OPC, MES, and other manufacturing applications.
- Perform application testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Analyze application logs and data to assist in identifying the root cause of issues.
- Support configuration of application parameters, tags, data types, and communication settings under guidance from senior engineers.
- Participate in client discussions, requirement gathering, demonstrations, and technical meetings when required.
- Collaborate with development, QA, automation, and project teams to implement project requirements.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, user guides, and project-related documentation.
- Support application deployment, configuration, and validation in development and customer environments.
- Provide technical assistance for reported application issues and follow up on fixes.
- Learn and work with new technologies based on project requirements.
- Follow coding standards, testing procedures, version-control practices, and project development guidelines.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PHP.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of APIs, JSON, and basic client-server communication.
- Basic understanding of software development and testing processes.
- Interest in industrial automation, MES, SCADA, IoT, or system integration is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work across different technical areas.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Min. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
